What’s the difference between maintenance and rescue medications? When should I take them?
Maintenance medications are taken every day and work over time to help control symptoms. Rescue medicines relieve sudden symptoms, but too much of this medication will increase your risk of serious (possibly fatal) side effects. Follow your doctor's instructions for taking your medication.

What is a nebulizer?
A nebulizer gets medicine into your lungs in a fine mist while you breathe calmly, deeply, and evenly through a mouthpiece until the mist is gone. Requires setup and cleaning.

How do I take YUPELRI?
You take YUPELRI with a standard jet nebulizer with a mouthpiece. You take YUPELRI once a day. Breathe normally using the nebulizer mouthpiece for about 8 minutes or until you don't see any mist in the nebulizer.* Setup and cleaning time are required.

What should I know about using a jet nebulizer?
Once people use a jet nebulizer, some may prefer it. It gets the medicine into your lungs, where you need it most. Setup and cleaning required.

How do you clean a nebulizer?
Many nebulizer parts can be washed with dish soap and warm water. Some pieces can be placed on the top rack of the dishwasher. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Is YUPELRI covered under Medicare Part B?
If you’re 65 years of age or older, Medicare Part B may reimburse up to 100% of the cost of your YUPELRI prescription as well as a standard jet nebulizer (no guarantee of coverage). Check with your insurance provider for more information.

What is the YUPELRI Savings Card?
For patients with commercial insurance, the YUPELRI Savings Card may be used to reduce the amount of your out-of-pocket expense up to a maximum of $550 per 30-day prescription. No other purchase is necessary. This offer can be used up to a total of 12 times per calendar year while this program remains in effect, with a maximum savings amount of $6,600 per calendar year. What is YUPELRI®?
- YUPELRI is a prescription medicine used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), a long-term (chronic) lung disease that includes chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both.
- It is an anticholinergic medicine which helps the muscles around the airway in your lungs stay relaxed to prevent symptoms such as wheezing, cough, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.
- It is used long-term as 1 vial of YUPELRI, 1 time each day inhaled through your nebulizer to improve symptoms of COPD for better breathing.
